Ho! Ho! Ho! Happy Days: Toys we loved in the 1950s, 60s and 70s.

Growing up in Philly during the 1950s to the 1970s, kids often had to invent their own toys. I often used clothespins as soldiers. That said, there was nothing like getting the most popular toy for Christmas. Yes, many of those toys didn’t go unscathed after New Year, but how wonderful it was. We didn’t get everything we wanted, but we certainly appreciated what we received from Santa.

Since it is Christmas time, I thought I would highlight some of the most popular toys from the 1950s to the 1970s. Of course, I may have missed your favorites, so please tell us what you loved to get on Christmas when you were a kid.

I promise you that just thinking about your past childhood Holidays will bring a smile to your lips and a warmness to your brain. These four images will help you remember.
